Thinking about an ideal time of the year for a wedding in Seychelles. Though, if you and your partner are ready to take your relationship to the next level, it doesn’t matter which time of the year it is. Let’s take a closer look at the best time to get married in Seychelles.

Best months to get married in Seychelles

The climate in Seychelles is warm and humid all the year round, the temperature being around 30°C throughout the year with sunshine and tropical showers and cool mild sea breezes gently tickling you.

December – March: The rainy season sets in and the humidity level rises as the rainfall becomes more frequent. This doesn’t keep visitors at bay as the winter holidays set in. Many couples plan their wedding around Christmas and new year making December and January extremely busy. Plan your weddings in advance and make your flight and hotel booking early to get better rates/discounts on your bookings.

April – May: These are the dryer months and Seychelles can experience warm and mild weather during these months. Rainfalls become scarce in these months making it ideal for weddings. The hotels and flights are not very expensive in these months as the summer holidays are yet to kick in. So, by planning your wedding in these months you can save on hotel and flight prices.

June – September: These months are accompanied by cool and dry weather. The onset of summer holidays makes these months busy for tourists. Perfect weather to plan your wedding which can be done on the famous beaches or smaller private beaches if you want a personal affair. If you are planning your wedding in these months, plan in advance to save on hotel and flight costs as these are the busiest months in Seychelles for tourists.

October – November: If you are willing to get a little wet, these months are ideal as you can encounter occasional showers but at the same time get a lot of sunny beaches. These months are quieter than the summer time making it more enjoyable. You also tend to save on flight and hotel costs as the summer time is over and hence the rush is not there anymore.

Activities to be planned when you get married in Seychelles at different times of the year

There are a variety of activities that can be done in Seychelles from bird watching and enjoying the wildlife to witnessing the most gorgeous underwater animals. Letting loose your adventurous side and enjoying wide range of water sports activities and rock climbing.

December – March: It is a season for rainfall and hence you will see the vegetation and flora of the region come alive with having the best experience for bird watching and enjoying the bleak sun peeking through after the rains.

April – May: These months are perfect for scuba diving and sunbathing as well as other water sports as the rainfall is scanty and the island has warm and humid weather.

June – September: These months experience cool winds and dry weather hence making it ideal for visiting national parks, enjoying the fauna and flora of the region.

October – November: Best time for wildlife spotting and it is eggs laying season for hawksbill turtles and whale sharks, you will be lucky to see them closely. Perfect time of the year to enjoy water sports like parasailing, paragliding as it is less windy, warm with occasional light showers.

The tropical weather of Seychelles makes it a good time to visit all year round. Hence, you can plan your wedding anytime of the year and enjoy the charismatic natural beauty of the island.
